Micropol Fiberoptic Powers Rheinmetall’s Advanced Skynex Air Defense System
Micropol Fiberoptic and Rheinmetall are cooperating in developing the Skynex system, Rheinmetall’s latest solution for short-range air defense.
Halmstad based company AB Micropol Fiberoptic has signed a contract with BAE Systems Hägglunds for the delivery of field tactical fiber optic communication systems to BAE Systems Hägglunds’ combat vehicle type CV90. The contract includes deliveries to new as well as upgraded CV90 vehicles for Sweden and four other European customers. The order value is significant and includes deliveries until 2032.
The order will be produced in Micropol Fiberoptic’s facility in Åled outside Halmstad and adds significant production volume to the existing contracts with BAE Systems Hägglunds.
