The countdown has started for the faceoff for the World Junior Championship in Ice hockey, and it is busy times with the preparations. The puck will drop on the 26th of December in Scandinavium, Gothenburg and for the coming event Micropol deliver event cable reels, that will be placed at several locations for a reliable broadcasting.
The event cables reels are equipped with the heavy-duty fiber optic cable, which is a cable specified by the Swedish Armed Forces to be used in harsh environments. A lot of the products we deliver to the armed forces are today also used in civil applications. The event fiber optic cable reel is one example of this type of product, which is used in several sport events, concerts and live-broadcastings, but also for emergency connections caused by cable breakage for example. The event cable reel is flexible and mobile with a low weight and can be equipped with several lengths on the cables (maximum 2 kilometers) which makes it applicable in both indoors and outdoors environments.
We want to wish the junior players best of luck and uninterrupted broadcasts for the companies that monitor upcoming matches.

Micropol Fiberoptic is growing rapidly, driven by an increased global demand for fiber optic solutions. To meet this expansion, we are investing in both our production capacity and our people. As a result, several new talent colleagues have joined Micropol in recent weeks.
An exciting step forward for Micropol – our new headquarters and production facility in Halmstad is now visibly coming to life. Last week, construction reached an important milestone as the first walls were lifted into place.
