Key aspects and benefits of the premanufactured 19”/4 fiber optic modular system
Modularity
The system is modular, allowing for flexibility in configuration and expansion. Modules can be added or replaced as needed, making it adaptable to changing network requirements.
Rack and wall-mounted options
Designed to fit into a standard 19-inch equipment rack with space for four cassettes/modules, providing a standardized and space-efficient solution for organizing and managing fiber optic connections. The Micropol Fiber Optic Modular System has an option of wall-mounting with a custom-designed rack, which makes it possible to mount the cassette/module without the 19” rackpanel.
High density & versatility
The 19”/4 can have from 2 fibers and up to 192 fibers in a complete rack and supports a variety of fiber optic connectors such as LC, SC, MTP, or others. Micropol´s fiber optic modular system offers versatility in connecting different types of fiber optic equipment and devices.
Ease of installation
Designed for easy installation, making it user-friendly for network technicians. This is crucial in environments where quick deployment and modifications are necessary. The premanufactured system is ideal for installations where it´s difficult to terminate the fiber in the field.
Cable management
Provides features for effective cable management, including trays, guides, and routing systems, ensuring that fiber optic cables are neatly organized and easily accessible for maintenance.
Scalability
The modular nature of the systems allows for scalability. As network demands grow, additional modules can be added without requiring a complete overhaul of the infrastructure.
Reliability and performance
Enhances the reliability and performance of fiber optic networks by providing a structured and organized system for managing connections. This contributes to easier troubleshooting and maintenance.
Easy and safe visual inspections
The transparent dust caps allow for easy visual inspection of fiber optic connectors without the need to remove the caps. Removing the cap can cause damage to the eyes if the network technician by mistake looks into the fiber and the laser pointing into the eye. The visual inspection is crucial for identifying any contamination, damage, or misalignment of the connectors, but is made safe with the transparent dust-caps.
Standardization
The use of a 19-inch rack standardizes the installation process, making it compatible with industry norms and ensuring interoperability with other rack-mounted equipment.
