Rocky Tube

Micropol RT, also known as Rocky Tube, is a protective cable shielding that gives Micropol’s interconnect cables—data cables integrated into vehicles or weapon systems—their exceptional ruggedness.

Main application

Micropol RT is a protective cable shielding that provides exceptional ruggedness for Micropol’s interconnect cables in vehicles, weapon systems, and other dynamic environments. We custom-build cables by combining Micropol RT with the optimal ruggedized cable model for each specific mission or application. The RT shielding is available in two models for cables with 1–8 and x–24 fibers, respectively.

Design

The RT consists of a stainless-steel hose with a polyurethane outer layer, ensuring reliable data transmission within and between internal systems, e.g. in off-road vehicles or missile systems. It delivers outstanding crush resistance, controlled bend radius, and enhanced fire protection. The spiral-patterned polyurethane surface increases friction, allowing secure cable tie attachment without risk of slippage or damage.
