Curiosity is a driving force in Hugo Klint's life. Whether he's solving engineering challenges, planning his next move on a chessboard, or caring for animals on his farm, he enjoys learning, improving, and finding creative solutions. 

Hugo joined Micropol's R&D team in early 2025 and was drawn to the company by its open and curious culture.

"What attracted me was the open and curious work culture," Hugo says. "I immediately got a great impression of my colleagues and managers, which made the decision very easy."

As an electrical engineer, Hugo enjoys tackling complex problems and exploring new ideas. What motivates him most is the freedom to test different approaches and turn ideas into practical solutions.

Outside of work, Hugo lives on a farm with his partner, their dog, cat, and horses. Caring for animals and spending time outdoors provides a welcome balance to the technical challenges he tackles each day.

Football is another big part of his life. Whether he's playing himself or cheering on Arsenal, he's a dedicated fan who rarely misses a match. But perhaps his greatest passion is chess. Hugo plays several games every day and enjoys following long, strategic matches. For him, chess is the perfect combination of logic, creativity, and decision-making.

"If you lose, it's your own mistake. It's ruthless that way, but also incredibly rewarding when it goes well," he says.

Whether he's analyzing a chessboard, solving an engineering challenge, or caring for animals on the farm, Hugo approaches everything with the same mindset: stay curious, keep learning, and always think a few moves ahead.

This combination of curiosity, strategy, and determination is what makes Hugo, both as an engineer and as a person.
