Military-Proven Fiber Optic Communication
FOKS, short for Fiberoptiskt Kommunikationssystem (Swedish for: Fiber Optical Communication System), is the designation used by the Swedish Armed Forces for Micropol's FALCON expanded beam connector system. Designed for the most demanding defense applications, FOKS offers outstanding performance, durability, and reliability in mission-critical environments.
With its ruggedized design, expanded beam technology, and secure data transmission, FOKS is the standard for military fiber optic communication across Sweden's armed forces – from field-deployable systems to integration in armored vehicles.
Key Features
Expanded Beam Technology
The FOKS system utilizes expanded beam connectors, which offer superior resistance to dirt, dust, and mechanical stress compared to traditional physical contact connectors.
Rugged and Field-Proven
Engineered for harsh conditions, FOKS is waterproof, vibration-resistant, and built to withstand repeated handling in the field.
Interference-Free Communication
Delivers secure, high-speed fiber optic communication immune to electromagnetic interference (EMI), making it ideal for defense-grade data transmission.
Modular and Scalable
The FOKS connector system supports various configurations, from tactical cable assemblies to fixed installations, with single-channel and multichannel options available.
Full Compatibility
Designed to integrate seamlessly with Micropol’s existing tactical systems and accessories. Also backward-compatible with previous generations of the FALCON connector.
