The North American market is an increasingly important part of Micropol Fiberoptic’s business and we have therefore strengthened our team in the USA with Matthew Krutsch as Regional Sales Manager.
The annual meeting has welcomed Prof. Peter Andrekson to the board of Micropol Fiberoptic.
The Swedish and British medtech global Biotage has extended and increased its current contract with Micropol. The contract, which was first signed in 2017, will secure deliveries to the Biotage UK operations until second quarter of 2024.
Micropol Fiberoptic has signed a framework agreement with BAE Systems Hägglunds for the delivery of field tactical fiber optic communication systems. In relation to the signing, BAE Systems Hägglunds has placed significant orders with Micropol Fiberoptic for deliveries up to and including 2026.
Micropol has together with Chalmers University of Technology and Swedish Defense Material Administration during the OFC conference in San Diego demonstrated a joint research project.

The Swedish Defence Material Administration (FMV) has awarded Micropol Fiberoptic a contract for the delivery of field tactical fiber optic communication systems to the Swedish Armed Forces. The 3-year contract, which can be extended to up to 7 years, has a total contract value of 178 MSEK (appr. 16,1 MEUR).
